At Trailblazer Sports Massage, we believe movement is essential to living a vibrant, fulfilling life. Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a daily hiker, a dedicated gym-goer, or simply someone who wants to stay active without pain, our mission is to help you move better, recover faster, and feel stronger in your everyday life.

Based in Poulsbo, conveniently located for folks from Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Kingston, and the greater Kitsap County area, Trailblazer Sports Massage offers a modern, clinical approach to massage therapy. We specialize in functional, clothes-on bodywork designed to support mobility, reduce pain, and prevent injury—without the fluff of a traditional spa setting.

Purpose-Driven Massage for Active People

What sets us apart is our focus on purposeful, movement-based care. Sports massage at Trailblazer isn’t about pampering—it’s about progress. Every session is tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re managing chronic tension from repetitive movements, recovering from an injury, or preparing for your next outdoor adventure.

We start with a conversation and a movement assessment to understand how your body works and where it needs support. Then we get to work using a combination of techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active release, and guided stretching. You’ll remain fully clothed in comfortable athletic wear—perfect for transitioning to or from your workout or daily routine.

Built for Kitsap’s Active Lifestyle

Kitsap County is a place where people love to move—on the trails, on the water, in the gym, and in the garden. Trailblazer Sports Massage was created to meet the needs of this community: the doers, the adventurers, the caregivers, and the go-getters who value mobility and strength as part of their everyday life.

We’re here for runners training on Port Gamble Heritage trails, paddlers on Liberty Bay, climbers heading to the Olympics, and anyone striving to stay active, healthy, and pain-free. We’re also proud to support fellow small business owners, desk workers, and parents whose lives demand physical and mental resilience.

Meet Your Therapists

Adam Fairbanks, LMT

Adam has been passionate about learning about the human body and health since taking a physiology course in high school. This interest led him to pursue studies in biochemistry and molecular biology at UC Davis. In his senior year, he chose to explore his passion for bodywork by completing massage training at MTI Davis. His education has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of medical, sports, and recovery massage techniques.

Since 2019, Adam has worked with endurance athletes and a diverse range of clients at the renowned Monsters of Massage in Auburn, California. He later relocated to Poulsbo to co-found Trailblazer Sports Massage with his wife, Cyd. His goal is to serve the community by offering tailored massage therapy sessions to folks, addressing their tissue issues. He is an intuitive therapist with a knack for tracing pain to the root cause.

Cyd Fairbanks

Cydnee has been active throughout her life and possesses extensive knowledge of human kinesiology and physiology, gained through her diploma in Outdoor Recreation & Education, as well as from her experiences as a horseback rider, trail ultrarunner, and NHI-trained massage therapist. She employs a precise and functional approach to massage therapy, using detailed assessments of the body to facilitate tension release, enhance performance, and alleviate pain from daily activities, the stress of training, and recovering after an event.

After graduating National Holistic Institute’s Massage Therapy & Health Education in 2012, Cyd worked in multiple spa settings along the Mendocino, CA coast and built a successful private practice until its closure during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cyd is committed to delivering high-quality care and sharing her knowledge. She has partnered with her husband, Adam, to establish Trailblazer Sports Massage, dedicated to serving the Kitsap community by providing exceptional recovery and training support for individuals with fitness and wellness goals.
